A graduate of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, Mr. Rodwicke Ybarra has practiced over 30 years in the criminal and juvenile justice systems. He is a military veteran having served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and later, after law school, he served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a JAG (Judge Advocate General) Officer including for 3 years at RAF Upper Heyford in England and 1 year at Cannon AFB, New Mexico, where he served as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate.
After separation from the Air Force, he pursued a 24-year career with the District Attorney’s Office in Salt Lake County. There he prosecuted the full range of criminal cases, including high-profile murder cases and special victim cases all manner of violent crimes, child abuse, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, juvenile, and traffic cases. He developed a long-term expertise in prosecuting child sexual abuse cases and prosecuted for many years in the juvenile court. He has prosecuted literally thousands of cases and conducted hundreds of jury trials. Mr. Ybarra is a seasoned trial attorney, having spent the majority of his career in courtrooms. In addition, he supervised a district attorney satellite office of 8 attorneys and support staff in West Jordan.
After graduating cum laude from the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management, Daniel Ybarra earned his Juris Doctorate from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Mr. Ybarra spends most of his time managing operations at the Ybarra Legal Group, meeting with new clients one-on-one and fighting to win his clients’ cases.
Mr. Ybarra has a reputation for being insightful, compassionate, and professional. He has won high-profile criminal, personal injury and civil cases. Using the law to strategic advantage is usually something reserved for big business- Mr. Ybarra makes it a point to strategize with each client in order to ensure the best possible outcome.
While not practicing law, Daniel enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Ms. Harrison graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU. She was elected President of the Student Bar Association and served as the liaison between the administration and the law school student body. During her time in law school, she received numerous accolades including: J. Reuben Clark Negotiation Competition Champion, Woody Deem Trial Advocacy Competition Semi-Finalist, Trial Advocacy Team Director and Board member, Meritorious Achievement and Distinguished Service Award Winner.
Ms. Harrison is recognized for her focus on client care and explaining complex legal issues in a simple way. Her commitment to this helps her serve her clients in an effective and efficient manner no matter how complicated the situation is.
Ms. Harrison started her career by practicing family law in Utah County then accepted a position at Wamsley & Associates in Salt Lake City. She has worked with The Ybarra Legal Group since 2016. She is committed to helping families find fair and workable solutions to their cases.
Mr. Ybarra is a litigator and an electronic discovery expert. Mr. Ybarra spends the majority of his time providing aggressive, committed, and honest services to his clients.
Mr. Ybarra is known as a leader in the field of electronic discovery and litigation technology. He is consistently gaining a strategic advantage through the effective and efficient use of technology. He understands that many times cases are won or lost in the discovery phase of litigation. A case’s weaknesses and strengths often times reside in the facts, and Mr. Ybarra is an expert at retrieving those facts.
Mr. Ybarra explains, “Our professionals are using the latest technology to convert paper into electronic form; importing documents into searchable databases; implementing forensically sound extraction methods to extract data from hard drives and other devices; and hosting the data in a secure environment for review by our attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and clients.”
Mark Woodbury attended J. Reuben Clark Law School. Admitted to the practice in 2012, Mark has degrees in philosophy and political science. A member of the litigation and criminal law sections of the Utah Bar, he has made the courtroom his home away from home. After a brief stint working as a prosecutor, Mark is enjoying the freedom and flexibility that come with an independent practice, and is eager to help you navigate the ins and outs of the justice system.
